CONCERT AT SEDDON
Tlio patriotic coneei-t organised by the Misses Buckmati, assis^od Ijy musicians from Blenheim, and held at Sedd'on lasti evening, was musically a decided success, and the .young ladies are to be complimented upon the arranging of a varied and enjoyable programrno. The audience, which was orly moderately large, owing no doubt to harvesting operations now being in lull swing, was warmly responsive, and tho performers, with hardly an exception, had to respond to recalls Vocal solos wero rendered by Misses Olive and Clarice Buckmanj Messrs (r. Lit.chfield, F. Robinson, and S. Croft; vocal dnets by Misses O. Buckninn and Mr F. llobinson, also by ' Messrs Litchfield and Robinson; a musical monologue by Mr Croft: two viohn solos by Mr R. Brown : and a orasß quartette from the 10th M.R-. band consisting of Messrs McAllister, Hoare, Thomas, and Williams. Two overt;,!res were played by an orchestra consisting of Messrs Williams (piano), McAllister (cornet), Brown (violin), und Tunmchffe (bass). The accompnnimentp were played by Mrs Tunnienffo and Mr Williams."
