[FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.]

Monday

The grass lands are looking nice and green. Messrs Giwillim (dairy expert) ana McTaggarfc (agriculturist) will be addressing settlers' meetings this week at Mahakipawa, Havelock Suburban, Canvastown, and Rai \ ralley. Messrs F. C. Fell and G. Anderson 'hare completed their recruiting tour through the Sounds district. I imdei-stand that they are quite satisfied with the results. About F?xty men have enlisted from this district, ■so I am informed, and while, no doubt, there are f-oino more "oligibles." the Sounds can justly be proud of its record. Bottlers still continue to give freely to locn.l patriotic funds, the Belgian "Relief Fund still appealing to ail who honor "a scrap of paper." „________»_____-
