HEAT AND BUST HANDICAPS
(Rweived Oct. '21,11-30 p.m..) LONDON, Oct. 21. ■ British prisoners at Constantinople informed an Associated Press Agency representative that the position on Gallipoli is a trying one. Water is scarce at Anafarta. where only one well is in the hands of the British. This has to be replenished and supplies brought from Imhros Island and Salonika. From tho well the British are supplied in half-pints daily. Their allowance of food is six "biscuits, preserved meat, candy, and jam. Poor health is the result and there are several cases of dysentery. The heat and dust are severe handicaps to the Allies. It cannot be said that the troops who recently landed on the peninsula are first class. They are too young-
