STATEMENT BY MR MASSEY.
Tho Prime Minister referred to ohe pessimistic tone- of some of the more recent mess-ages concerning the trailipoli campaign on Tuesday. Me expressed regret that those messages were in a form to disturb the public mind. Be said that he had no official news yet to communicate to tho people, and he asked the New Zealand public, in tho absence of definite official information, not-to give credence to every general sleeping assertion about the results of the opeiations against Turkey.
