A message from Nairobi (British East Africa) states . that BrigadierGeneral Maileson marched from Maktau on August 14 last aud attacked two thousand Germans who occupied a. strong position at Mbuvuni, inflicting heavy punishment on the enemy. The British casualties were slight. • The enemy's' fire was poor, bat thoy .used machine-guns with remarkable skill.
