Mr G. J. Riddell, of Picton, has been re-elected president of the New Zealand Rowing Association. Prior to his departure for Trentham,' where he will be attached to the SLgnullinj.-; Corps of the 9th Reinforcements, Mr ~\Y. G. F. Pinkham, of the Post ajid Telegraph Department, was presented with a silver watch and matchbox hv the members of the local P. and T. OSic-e. Mr Pinkham was also the redpient of :> wristlet watch from his fellowboarders.

Mrs Ilaughev was the leoipient of a silver manicure set. and Miss Gertrude "Wratten received an autograph album. In making the presentation to Mr Haughey, Mi Dl. Paterson expressed the regret which the settlers and children felt at having to part with him. He hr.d proved himself to he a most efficient teacher, and had done fine work in the eiacht years he hod spent in Koromiko. They all wished him every success in lii^ new sphere, and many years of useful work.
