JUNIOR COMPETITION.

There were two games played on the domain on Saturday, I»ftth Moutere teams having to be content with a loss. There were not a great many spectators present, but what there were made a good deal of noise on the line. In the Centra 1-Moutere A. game it was pleasant to see Mr Torranee with the whistle. Evidently he has reconsidered his .decision to retire from active co-operation with the Referees' Association, a matter for congratulation. Mr Torrance was well received by the sporting crowd, and his control of the- game was satisfactory to both sides.
