WAR DECLARATION DAY.

Ti )-JIORROWS CELEBRATIONS

It is anticipated that, a memorable ga.thering will be hold in. Market Place. Blenheim, to-morrow afternoon, when the Mayor will .submit a resolution expressing, in common with oil parts of the British Empire, fixed determination to continue, the war until the causes of liberty and justice for which the Allies are fighting have been triumphantly vindicated. A public holiday will be observed from noon, and the citizens are asked, to display bunting as extensively as possible. A collection will be made in behalf of tho Wounded Soldiers Fund. The function will be attended by the Territorials, Cadets, Nations! 1 lteserve and its band, the Tenth Mounted Regimental Band. the Hibernian Band, and the school children. Tt \r, advertised by the Town Clerk that nil wheeled and horse traffic will be. stopped in Market Place from 2 p.m. until the conclusion of the ceremony. Previous experience on such occasions has afforded <amp]e evidence of the necessity for this nrohibition, not only in the interests of the public safety but also for the sake of freedom from distraction while addresses are being delivered from the rotunda ; and it is to be hoped that the arrangement will be^ fully respected by drivers of traps, horsemen, and motorists.
