The circuit quarterly meeting was teld in Wesley Hall on Wednesday evening, about forty officials being present, including the Revs, B. F. Roth well (chairman) .and T. R. •". Woolloxall, and Mr J. Field, mission■er from Picton. The chairman welcomed several new members to the meeting, and a visitor in the person of the Rev. J. Clover, a minister of the Primitive Methodist Church, which two years since united with the Methodist Church of New Zealand. It was reported that after revision the roll of membership was slightly in advance from last quarter. The balance-sheet presented by the .stewards showed a small increase in debit; but at this meeting of the year this is usual, and, the current quarter being harvest thanksgiving quarter, it is anticipated that a substantial balance will appear at next meeting. The senior steward characterised the income as eminently satisfactory under present circumstances, and compared with previous years. Messrs W. I>. Pike and . W. Rose were unanimously re-elected to the position of senior and .junior circuit steward resnective^ly, and thanked the meeting for con- * tinned confidence and appreciation. Resolutions of sincere sympathy were accorded to the families of Mr J. Rose, Mr C W. Lncas, an.d Mr Chasr White, who have suffered bereavement since last meeting.
