HOLDING OR SELLING WHEAT.

[Press Association.] (Received Jan. 13, 10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 13. Before the Inter-State Commission application was made in behalf of ithe Common wealth for an injunction to restrain the New Soutn "Wales Government from selling or holding wheat, and also for the New South Wales Farmers' and Settlers' Association to be joined as plaintiffs in the proceedings.

Counsel for the New South Wales Government announced that he was instructed that the Government would refrain from selling wheat which was subject to the plaint pending the hearing of argument. The Commission granted the Farmers Association power to intervene, and fixed the hearing of ithe plaint for the 18th.
