(Received Jan. 14, 0.10 a.m.) PARIS, Jan. 13. {Prisoners give accounts of the cap--ture of Montmedy, Charlemont, and XLongwy early in the war. The big -Austrian -guns battered the fort at •Charlexnont to pieces. The garrison surrendered onSeptember Ist. The .Germans occupied IMontmedy on August l29tih. The; French prerr*ously .destroyed ithe defences and iblew up stores 'of ammnriitionj and .also an important railway tunnel. The'bombardment'of'Longwy began *©n August :21st. The 'buildings were soon onlfire, but the; garrison resisted attack '.for six .days and nights, and surrendered orily when the town ■was in -ruins.
