BATTLE OFF GRENADA ISLAND
(Received Jan. 13, 0.10 p.m.) OTTAWA, Jan. 12
Private advices, unconfirmed, state that the Karlsruhe waft sunk in a fight with the British off Grenada, a, volcanic 'island in the British West 1 A life buoy marked "Karlsruhe" was found on shore along with much wreckage. Residents of Grenada , report witnessing a battle at a great distance seaward.
