[Pbem AesooUTTon.}
CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 13. Speaking at the New Zealand ClufcJ luncheon, the Hon. Andrew: Fisher, Federal Prime Minister, said that there was nothing nearer his hea-t in; his public capacity than to see <M?atH lished reciprocal trade rel? ions between New Zealand and Australia.--It would take time and rreair patience and much trouble X for©they arrived, at any advance on the! present position, but with patience and set purpose and policy—and ifr the public men of both Dominionsgot together—he was sure, that they would "grow, he hoped, into something like trade unity, which would enable the interchange of products most desired by one Dominion from the other and products of the .one not produced in the other with the: least possible interference of tariff or any other circumstances. It would take time to grow, but it was desirable that it should come about. ;Hi» wish was that this, his first visit %&■ Now Zealand, would lead .to further, ■ and more frequent visits of' New Zealand representative men in their official capacity to Australia.
