SOME1 INTERESTING FIGURES

"Industries Week" in Ohristchurch this year has attracted much attention, various firms exhibiting in their windows goods made in New Zealand. Some of the displays have been very effective.

"WHY?"

"Why?" is the' pertinent question asked in an interesting circular, which the Industrial Association is issuing, in respect to the importation of articles which could be just as well produced in the Dominion. The "little list sübmitted for the consideration of the public follows, the amounts given referring to the value of the importations last year:— "

Total ... ... 2,607,078 The fact is impressed on readers of, the circular that ."by buying goods made" in the Dominion you keep yourself, your relatives, and friends "in constant employment." Interesting figures are given as to the number employed in some of the Dominion's industries and the amount paid in wages:—
