GIANT CYPRESS TREE IN

On the firing line of the Zapata uprising in Southern Mexico, in peril from cannon fire and musketry, stood —and still stands—the oldest living thing in the world—the famous cypress in the churchyard of the vil- < lage of Santa Maria del Tule.
