HUERTA'S DEMAND REFUSED.
SALUTE TO BE ENFORCED.
(Received April 18, 10.55 a.m ) WASHINGTON, April 17. At the eleventh hour Huerta demanded that the United Staites Beet sihould answer gun for gun the Mexican salute. The American Cabinet was hastily convened and refused the demand, and decided to allow the fleet to proceed and enforce /^w ,_. the salute as originally fixed.
