BOWLING.
The final match in the handicap competition for the presentation bowH took place on s the Blenheim Bowling Club's green on Saturday afternoon, C. F. A. Whiteford (scr.) defeating A. J. \Vicks (2) by 17 to 15. During the afternoon rinks from the Riveredale and Blenheim clubs participated in a contest for the junior flag competition, .the result being as follows: H. Henderson (skip) 23,.. J. Flood (skip) 14; J. Woollev (skip) 25 T. F. Bull (skip) 23; totals, Riversdale 48, Blenheim 37. The final for the Adams Cup competition between •G. McKay and P. ■■■(Riversdale) and J.- Buist and T. Halligan. (Blenheim) will take place to-morrow afternoon.
The singles championship of the •Blenheim. Club was decided yesterday attjei-noon, when. J. Buist defeated W. JMvy in the second of the final games by 29 to 12. ' Having been successful in the first of the final matches, Buist is the 1913-14 'champion of the club. By virtue of two ■previous successes in the club's championship he has now won the medal presented by Mr C. Bary (Wellington; seven years ago for the premier bowler pvro years in succession or three times at intervals. W. M. Lambie (twice), R. M.. Harding, and T. Halligan have previously secured a "leg-in" for the trophy. ,'
