Dr JFVazer Hurst, meclical sTrpefiiitendent under 'the Marsden and Kai:para Hospital Board, states that Whangarei county, is 'now practically 'clear as far as 'the epidemic is concerned. Only two children are suffering. One is almost well, and i>ne other has the complaint in a very •mild form.

The work of" disinfection of tThe -various Maori kaingas in the county will soon be completed.
