On this point Dr Gordon Stables writes:— "The advantages of the treatment ', of a common cold by Peps are mainfold, but marvellously simple. ' "By the use of Peps, the inflamed throat and irritated air-passages and lining membranes of the lungs receive by inhalation, mind you, a softening, yet invigorating and germ-killing bath of certain essences of the pine. The soothing effects of Peps are instantaneous, and benefit commences at once. If you wish, therefore, to ease and end a cough right off the reel, if you desire to loosen tickling phlegm,"and clear the throat and the breathing tubes, use Peps." You can get a Is 6d or 3s box from your chemists; avoid substitutes, as there is nothing "just as good." The next New Zealand Naval and Military Tournament will be held at Auckland on 3rd and sth January, 1914. The Honorary Secretary will be glad to receive any suggestions regarding competitions, with a view to increasing the popularity of the tournament, both as regards competitors and spectators. The Hon.
