WELLINGTON, June 17. The Arbitration Court delivered judgment in a case in which the City Corporation appealed against a conviction by Dr. McArthur for breaches of the Tramway Employees' Act in regard to its employees at the powerhouse. , -_ , In dismissing the appeal the Uouru held that through a flaw in the Arbitration Amendment Act of 1911 an appeal could not be made from the Magistrate's Court to the Supreme or Arbitration Courts, unless the amount of claim exceeded £50; whereas in the present case only £10 was claimed in respect to each breach. The Court added that .whereas the draftsman liad intended to enlarge the right of appeal he had curtailed it.
