RAILWAY PORTER INJURED.
DUNEDIN, June 18. L. Jeffery, a railway porter, while assisting in shunting operations at Lawrence yesterday, was caught between a waggon and the loading stage at the cattle-yards. The extent of his injuries is unknown, but they are regarded-as serious.
