AN OPEN VERDICT,

WANGANUI, June 18. An inquest was held yesterday into the circumstances surrounding the death of Sarah Bellinghurst, a widow of 67 years of age, whose body was found in the river. The deceased had been missing since June 3rd. There was no evidence to show how she got into the river, and a verdict was returned accordingly.
