WATER AND SEWERAGE.
[to the editor.]
Sir,—The burgesses of Blenheim are asked to vote on Wednesday for a water and drainage scheme for onehalf of the Borough. Let them not forget that, although only half the borough is to have the benefit of the service, every ratepayer and householder will have to foot the bill. This scheme, we are told, is going to cost something like £70,000. When it is tomftleted. we shall be asked for a further loan to connect up the other half, and in common justice we can hardly -refuse it. This will mean that 'wo will find ourselves saddled v.ith a debt of nearer £170,000 than £70,000. Is it worth it? Ido not think so, and will v°te against it. ISLINGTON-
