WASHINGTON, June 13. Martial law has been abolished in the West Virginian coalfields. The Senate Committee, which has been investigating, found that a reign of terror prevailed in the district. It was really a state of war. Armed miners during the year have been, engaged in numerous pitched battles with the forces of law and order. Conciliatory methods are suggested.
