NEVER AGAIN.
A young curate was recently appointed to his first vicarage. As it happened, the average attendance at the church was distinctly on the small side, but a large congregation turned up to hear the new vicar preach his first sermon. As he entered the chuToh the old verger plucked him by the arm and whispered: "Take a good look at the congregation, sir. You'll never see them all together again!"
