Captain Rainey, Marine Superintendent for the Tyser Line, flatly denied this. He stated that she was as good and as strong as the day she was launched. He. was still extremely hopeful of refloating her on the next flood tides on June 19 and 20. The Terawhiti leaves to-day with a mile of fresh cable, which will be laid ! forthwith.
