OTTAWA,,, May 26. A remarkable occurrence is reported in connection with a fire at loronto> Six of the firemen who were encased in fighting the flames became intoxicated/and from no other cause than through their inhaling the iumes eiffftted from tlie burning shavings, ol some case wood that was saturated with alcohol. .. ~ The symptoms they manifested weece almost precisely similar to those o« a man who had been drinking haavily. They lost control of their legs, and suffered severely m their heads. Some of the men began to refceh, but all eventually recovered.
