[Copy of letter received by Wellington agent for Douglas Motors.] George Street, Wellington, September 9, 1912. Dear Sir, —I am writing you a few lines to tell yon kow I became -a rider of ft Douglas lightweight motor-oyeie. Some considerable time ago I ordered an 8-h.p. machine with, side-car, and owing to delay I decided 4*> buy a lightweight to potter about on until the arrival of the 8-h.p., stud then intended to cell the lightweight. My choice fell on a Douglas, and I bought a 1911 model. I had always believed1 in a heary-weight machine, and, not having previously ridden a lightweight, you can imagine the surprise I received at the ease I could start and the power developed by tliis machine. I had many thousands of miles pleasure out of this machine, and when my 8-h.p. arrived I simply couldn't part with the Douglas,-so I decided to keep the two, using the large machine for side-car and the small machine for solo riding. When the 1912 Douglas arrived I purchased one, and I find it is an ideal machine, very easy to handle, can be started at a walk, upkeep very light. My back tyre has done over 6000 miles end is not worn out yet. The speed obtained by this model is enormous, and I can climb hills that higher power machines find difficult. In all my riding on Douglas machines I have never experienced a mechanical stop, which speakg volumes for the material, and magnificent workmanship of' the Douglas motors. In conclusion, I may state that never would I purchase-a heavy-weight motor for solo riding, and I can honestly recommend theDoudas motor-cycle as the best light-weight on tll« marked fo * Yours faithfully, . *} HAROLD PLIMMER (signed^ CALL AND INSPECT TH£ NEW MODELS AT iEDa PARKER'S, blsnheiwi . iviarlborough a§e.n/!\ Down Quilts In Printed Sateen, with Border and Insertion ; of Plain Sateen ; DOUBLE BED SIZE— Piped, 25/6 27/6 Frilled, 30/- 37/6 ■ SINGLE BED SIZE- ♦ { Piped, 17/6 21/6 Frilled, 24/6 27/6 ; In Printed Satin, with Border and Insertion '; of Plain Satin DOUBLE BED SIZE— Piped ■■...■ 47/6 52/6 each .
