BAND CONTEST
DISPUTE OVER THE JUDGE.

INVERCARGILL, June 13. In reference to the dispute over the appointed judge at the forthcoming band contest, the committee has received a telegram from the secretary of the South Island Association stating that the Association could not alter its decision regarding the appointment of Mr A. Wade. The committee decided to adjourn till Tuesday, when a representative of the Association will be'present.
