THE BILIOUS ATTACK."

I The theatrical portion of the Gaf- , den Fete on Wednesday week will comprise an excruciatingly funny farce entitled "The Bilious Attack/ by Arthur Wood. This piece was first performed at the Ray Holborn Theatre in London under the management of Mr Burkigb. The situations are very funny. Mr Jenniwin is a jealous husband who is under the impression that his wife is in love with Captain Marmaduke Myrtle of the Royal Berkshire Plungers, and finally forces the amorous captain to take a sleeping draught. After the potion takes effect he thinks he has poisoned the victim, and constantly endeavors to hide the apparently dciad captain from his wife and Bet«y Jane, a housemaid. Finally he secretes .'him "in the shower bath, and by accident the plug is pulled, waking the captain from his stupor, and everything ends happily, Tho farce goes with a decided verve from start to finish, and owing to its genuine humor will doubtless be one of the features of the Fete. The characters- will be interpreted by Mesdames G. O. Waddv afid W I^ambie and Messrs G. O. Waddy and L,. Griffiths, which is sufficient guarantee of the merit of the performance ! A special stage is being erected by Messrs Ward and Sons, and th«n<Ws7m?t i*?s,,r beiog *"«•* i Everything will be done with the I thoroughness of a first^kss show, and i the pnbhc willbe given a good enter- ! tamment lasting for 35 minutes. }
