SENIOR SHIELD.

On Saturday the Tua Marina D.R.C and the B Company 12th Regiment met in the second round of the Shield contest on the Vernon range. Although the B Company were beaten they put up a good fight, considering that some of them have only started shooting this season. The B Company's score also counted against the Blenheim D.R.C. A team, who put on 557. The positions of the terns are: Blenheim D.R.C. A team 7 wins, Tua Marina D.R.C. 6 wins, Linkwater D.R.C 3 wins (with one match to > fire), Blenheim DwR.C. B team 3 wins, and B Company no AAans /with one match to fire). Following are the scores : — TFA MARINA D.R.C.

B COMPANY, 12th REGIMENT.

The Blenheim Defence Club's A team fired a match against the B team and the 12th Regiment Territorials on the Vernon range on Saturday. The A team secured two wins and the B team one win. The afternoon was very bad for shooting, the majority being greatly /puzzled at the 600 yards range. Following are the scores: —
