WEEKLY SALE

Griffiths and Son report having held a most." sticcessftil sale on Saturday. In the morning the} 7 disposed of a lot of corrugated iron and timber at Mr Yarrall's residence, the iron realising from Is 6d to 2s 3d per sheet. At 1.30 p;m., at the nart, a good penning of fowls was offered, and the following prices were realised: —Laying hens 3s 6d. table bird's'3s, duckers 4s, six week old chickens Is Bd—all at per pair. Potatoes realised 11s; thirds barley ss, meal Bs, feed barley 123 per sack. A good lot of spring onions, ! rhubarb, and celery found quick j buyers. At tho sale of groceries .the ; large attendance readily bought the i bargains offered. Time did not allow of the whole*- lot being disposed of. The firm's nest sale will tr.ke place at the residence of the late T. Smale on Wednesday, when the whole of the household furniture and effects will be put under the hammer without the slightest reserve.
