A Wellington telegram states that the two prisoners who decamped from custody at Point Halswell last week are still at large. ' Tv^o very presentable crayon productions, the work'of Miss Pearl MoKay, daughter of Mr G. McKay, have been framed by Mr A. J. Dowl-. ing, and appear in the window of his establishment in Market Street South. The one subject? is the figure of a child, and the other is a female head. Both drawings are good in execution, and both give evidence of promising artistic instinct. They do credit to Miss McKay, who has certainly found her bent in the form of art, and to her teacher, Mrs Satchel!. Miss McKay is'about to take a trip to Sydney, where she will pursue her studies.
