WEEKLY SALE.
Griffiths and Son report having held their weekly sal© on Saturday last before a representative audience. A number/ of horses were put up, but the reserves not being reached the lots were passed in. Poultry was again in good demand, and the whole of the large consignment offered was readily bought at the following prices: — Cockerels 3s to 4s;' mixed! hens 3s ito 3s. 6d; White Leghorns 3s 6d to 4s 3d; all at per pair. Apples brought from 5s to 6s 6d per case; bacon (green) realised B|d per 1b; potatoes 9s 665 per sack; cabbage Is. 6d per sugar-bag; celery 4 sticks for Is. A lot of olothmg, boots, and furniture were disposed of at satisfactory prices.
