A FIGHT FOR POSTPONEMENT.

The Panama Canal Billhas reached its final stages. , . ■ The opponents of the Bill as it now : stands, intend to endeavor to secure the carrying-over of the measure till December. The Democratic partyj however, is expected to support the amended Bill.
Senator Brandogee is leading the fight against the Bill. A compromise has already been reached.
