BRISBANE, Aug. 18. In the tennis singles championship of Queensland, Rice1 (N.SiW.) defeated Jones (N.S.W.) by 6-1, .6-1, 6-3. In the doubles championship, Rice and Jones defeated Jordan and Peach by 6-4, 6-1, 6-2. In the .interstate matches Queensland ;d©fea.ted New South Wales by ll rubbers to 10.
