A MAGISTRATE'S REPORT
LONDON, Aug. 16. The report of Mr Chester Jones, a metropolitan _ magistrate, on the recent strike disturbances at Rotherite says that the1 .action of the police in grappling with the riot was justified. He finds, however, that in the dispersal of the crowds from the side streets some of the police were guilty of excesses.
