WANTED TOO MUCH

A small boy called his mother upstairs one day and asked her to whip John his brother—"and whip him good."' "But what has little Johnny, been doing?" inquired the mother. "Why, he wants half of the bed to himself,"- said the elder child. "Well, he is entitled to half," said the mother. "Perhaps he is," replied th aggrieved one, "but he wants his half in the middle of the bed,, and wants me to sleep on both sides of him!"
