Magazine for May, 1910:—"Thes« ferments, obtained from the papaw/j are made up in the form of an ointment and gargle, end are recommended as an application-to enlarged glandular tissues, tumors, and ulcer ations. The present preparation seems to combine the most active ferments ! of the plant in a successful manner.' Its ' activity was demonstrated by several oases of hypertrophy of the, turbinal bodies, and in cases of enlarged tonsils. < After three or four weeks' application there was very, very marked improvement. There «an be no doubt that the preparation ia unusually effective, and prove very serviceable, obviating the necessity for .operative procedures id many cases.
