AUCKLAND, May 16. The.members of > the Ehgiiie-driVers' and' Winders' Unions 'at Waihi -: yijl not be. left without financial assist ance while s^he strike. continues.- The former Union is registered under the Arbitration Act.; There is a strong feeling amongst business men here that the Act should be upheld in the trouble precipitated': by the miners. As a result of this feeling ifc has been decided to op^en subsoription-lists to raise money, for a fighting fund in support of, the Engine-drivers' Union in its efforts/to cdnform to the conditions of the. Act. Over £40 has'been collected alreiady,^: and promises of more are. forthcoming:-
