The progressive euchre party held in the debating hall' on Saturday/ evening in aid of the piano fund was a great success, there being a crowded "house." Tlie prizes were-won as follows : —First prizes,/ Mrs • Thomas Wilson and Mr A. Simpson; "booby ; prizes, Miss A. Daiton.and Mr C. O'Brien. After the tournament had. concluded the players sat down to a;/ very enjoyable supper, which .'.>va's' provided by the ladies. . ', •'< ■.- The president announced tlial a debate, oh questions would be held.on the 2otb inst., and invited all pre-. sent to bring along a question. Next Saturday there is lo be a euchre party at tho Deep Creek school in aid of the school children's annual picnic fund, and. I.understand, that--there is a dance, to follow.'.; The' new battery at the: Dominion Consolidated claim is . progressing at a --Teat pace, and everything will be in "full swing in about three, moatlis' time.
