He had the mistfortune to be jammed between his horse and trap some time ago at Okaramio, an injury to the liver resulting. He has had a considerable shaking, but apr>ears to bo now on the mencf.,. Mr J- Le Conite, of the Picton-'rail-Avay stuff, has received notice of transfer to the Wellington section, and loaves Picton to-morrow. Tho vacancy will be filled by Mr Iverr,' of Wellington. The departure of Mr Le Com to will leave a, gap. hard to nil in tho. ranks of hockey and football players, and generally he will be much missed. Mr J. Treg;irthon, engineer on the s.s: Elbie, met with a painful accident at Nydia Bay on Saturday (says the Press), .through a stack of timber falling on him, while assisting in loading operations. He was rather severely crushed, but luckily, no bones were broken. H© was brought home to Picton as soon as possible by launch, and his injuries were attended to bjr Dr.'.Patqrson. It will be some time before Mr Tregurthen will be able to resume duty, although he/is progressing favorably. . r '
