COLLISION AT INERCARGILL.

INVERCARGILL, May 13. A serious railway accident occurred at €he Bluff on Saturday .night, the Invercargill passenger train colliding with a goods train waiting in a siding. The accident) occurred through a stone being placed in the points. Fortunately the second to last carriage of th*) passenger train jumped the points, severing the air-brake connection and automatically stopping the train. The impact threw lihe "fireman (Harry Baxter) violently from the cab of the passenger engine on to the'tendeiy. and he sustained a. broken noso.ancl severe cutte on'the head.
