INCREASING FARES AND FREIGHTS.
SYDNEY, Jan. 11. The coastal steamship owners announce that owing to the excessive demands made by the labor unions they have decided to increase the fares and freights. In the event of the men's further demands being grantedl additional increases will be necessary.
