COAL-OWNERS' MANIFESTO.
LONDON, Jan.. 11. The Northumberland coal owners' manifesto declares that a; fixed minimum wage, irrespective of the work performed, was impracticable, and that, they were unable to concede it, believing that payment proportionately for work reasonable. Mr Enoch Edwards is hopeful of a solution of the dispute, but denies the existence of^ an agreement for a simultaneous strike with Germany.
