When the A.merican. Companies commenced the issue of Tontine Policies in Australia, this Society pointed out the exaggerated estimates made were impossible of realisation. Events have proved tho truth of the predict on, and these American Companies have now abandoned these disappointing policies, the issue of which has now been made illegal by the State of New York, where they originated.
