CATTLE DISEASE IN AFRICA

It is reported from Capetown that one of the Government veterinary surgeons, after exhaustive experiments conducted in Griqualand East, lias discovered a method of rendering cattle immune from East Coast fever. The disease has been causing wholesale mortality among cattle in various parts of South Africa for several years past, bringing ruin in its train. If the discovery does all that is claimed for it it will avert disaster.
