LONDON, Sept. 18.
Mr Masterman, M.P., addressing the National Brotherhood at the Albert Hall, declared that the recent uprising of unskilled labor was due to the hope entering the hearts of the slum dwellers .that whe^i society learned iiiat the carters who had resumed work were satisfied to toil twelve hours per day, and that the girl mothers of Bermondsey were living in a new world because tb&y ted gained an extra shilling weekly, the lessen about the need for setting our house' in order was worth tho tumult of the strike.
