Stolypin bore the operation well, but the midnight bulletin stated that the peritoneal symptoms still continue, and his condition is serious^ Bagroff, while a student at Kieff University, did a traitor's work, and caused.l the arrest of many students.: The Anarchists, _ discovering; his treachery, gave him the choice __ of assassinating M. Stolypin or of hiniself being murdered. The authorities regarded him as b» valuable secret agent. ; ~ Bogroff's relatives and1 immediate friends have been arrested, and' the prisoner was court-miartialled1 on Wednesday. - At the preliminary inquiry Bogroff stated! that he had long waited for a favorable opportunity to kill M. Stolypin. His courage failed him the first time he saw a chance, but' at! the second! opportunity he dlrew a. revolver from his pocket under cover of his programme and fired, hoping to escape during the excitement. Some of Bogroff's -teeth were knocked out, 10013 he also received a sabre cut in the head. He expressed regret at wounding the musician.
