"Woods.1 ~ Hj^ wa© presented with a pair oi white kid; glov-ss. as a mark of ■the absence of crime. In his address 'to the Grand Jury he congratulated them u^on tlio continued immunity from crime in this district, sayitig +liat the gi-oat majority of the people were co mw-abiding that it seemed there was no place lor criminals.'
